Appointments and Fees
All nonimmigrant visa applicants are required to schedule an appointment using the online system. New appointment times are added every work day at different times throughout the day; please check back often. However, during peak travel times, such as during summer holiday travel, the wait time may vary. We strongly encourage applicants to visit the appointment system periodically throughout the day to secure an appointment, and to begin the application process well in advance of your desired travel dates. Planning the visa process well in advance of your travel date will ensure that we have plenty of time to conduct your interview, review your application, and determine whether we can issue a visa. Appointments are opened 8 to 10 weeks in advance. Those wishing to schedule an interview more than 8 to 10 weeks are encouraged to check back closer to their desired interview date. NOTE: Only one (1) appointment per person is allowed. If you schedule more than one appointment, the system will cancel all your appointments without notice.
Visa Processing
In cases where visas are issued, applicants should expect to wait at least two (2) business days to receive their visa. Please plan accordingly when making travel arrangements.
All applicants should be aware that the times given above are AVERAGES, and that the processing time of a specific case can vary due to individual circumstances.
